Rauwe, vuige, energieke en onweerstaanbare gitaarrock, dát is waar The Resistance Plot voor staat! Met hun authentieke en eigentijdse sound is The Resistance Plot hard op weg om een volwassen band te worden. Dit blijkt wel uit de mijlpalen die de band in hun eerste jaar bereikte. Zo waren ze meerdere malen te gast in 3FM shows als ‘Freaknacht: Ekdom in de Nacht’ en ‘X-Noizz’, stonden ze in uitverkochte clubs als Melkweg, Effenaar en Luxor Live en deden ze supports voor bands als The Gracious Few (USA), Kontrust (AU), The Van Jets (BE), Shaking Godspeed en New Model Army (UK). Ook wordt de debuutsingle ‘Back Where You Belong’ ruim 2200 maal gedownload via de band’s Bandcamp-pagina.
In 2011 besluit de band een nieuwe koers in te zetten. Met alternatiever geluid wordt in Januari de single ‘The Adventurous Tale of God and Miss Alexis’ uitgebracht, waarbij hulp van de Amerikaanse topproducer Fred Kevorkian – Kevorkian Mastering NYC/USA – wordt ingeschakeld. ‘The Adventurous Tale of God and Miss Alexis’ wordt gereleased tijdens het Altersonic/Noorderslag festival in Groningen en goed opgepikt door radiostations en pluggers. Dit resulteert in airplay op 3FM en KinkFM, waarbij de laatstgenoemde The Resistance Plot zelfs uitnodigt om op hun festival in Paradiso Amsterdam te komen spelen.
Ook de (inter)nationale pers is lovend over ‘The Adventurous Tale of God and Miss Alexis’. Zo omschrijft de Amerikaanse website Chybucca de song als “Influenced by the likes of: Alter Bridge, Kings of Leon and Them Crooked Vultures … the vocals are effortlessly catchy and ‘cool’ enough to please mainstream radio audiences, while the riffs are shamelessly inspired by Queens Of The Stone Age.”.
Op dit ogenblik is de band druk bezig met de voorbereidingen op het festivalseizoen en het schrijven van nieuw materiaal. Met een mooi festivalseizoen in het verschiet, waarin de band onder andere te zien zal zijn op Bospop in Weert, belooft de band in 2011 wederom stappen te maken!
